Draft Order for the Appointment of

Mary Louise Hatch as Parenting Coordinator

Interim Order / Final Order

1. That within [X] days of these Orders the parties do all things necessary to jointly appoint and retain Parenting Coordinator Mary Louise Hatch (the Parenting Coordinator) for a period of 2 years commencing from [insert commencement date] / the date of these orders (the appointment).

2. That the parties do all things reasonably requested of them by the Parenting Coordinator for the term of the appointment unless otherwise agreed in writing to assist with the implementation of the parenting arrangements as provided in:

[   ]  The Parenting Plan dated [insert date];

[   ]  The Interim / Final Court Order dated [insert date]

3. That the costs of the Parenting Coordinator be paid [by insert name of party to pay 100%] / shared [insert percentage cost sharing arrangement] between the parties in accordance with the Parenting Coordinator’s Fee Agreement between the parties and the Parenting Coordinator.

4. That the Parenting Coordinator’s communications with each parent, [the child], and any other relevant person communicating with the Parenting Coordinator concerning the appointment be non-confidential and fully reportable to this Honourable Court upon the written request of one or both of the parties or court order at the equal shared expense of the parties.

5. That the parties forthwith sign all documents and do all things necessary to authorise the Parenting Coordinator to:

a. liaise with all counsellors and other practitioners in relation to the parents and/or the child / children with such information to be reportable if required;

b. request and receive reports from all counsellors and other practitioners in relation to the child/ren and the parents; and

c. liaise with and request and receive reports from: [specify further professionals to be contacted by the Parenting Coordinator],

at the equal shared expense of the parties.

6. That within [X] days of these Orders the parties [or the Independent Children’s Lawyer] provide to the Parenting Coordinator a copy of each of the following documents prepared for the purposes of their parenting matter:

a. Section 11F memorandum;

b. Section 62G Family Report;

c. Sealed court orders (interim and final);

d. Written reasons for judgement;

7. That the parties have liberty to apply to the Court with respect to the appointment.
