What’s the process for Discrimination & Human Rights Mediation?

Step 1 – Individual Intake

In this confidential one-on-one session, you’ll have a safe and respectful space to share your experience, concerns, and goals for the mediation. This 1.5-hour session is designed to help you understand the process and ensure it’s the right fit for your situation.

After your intake, we will reach out to the other participant and invite them to our mediation process and arrange their own intake session. If appropriate, you are also welcome to share our contact details with them directly at any time.

Step 2 – Mediation Conference

Once all participants have completed their individual intakes, we’ll arrange the mediation conference.

      • Mediation sessions usually run for half a day and can take place online, in person, or in a hybrid format.
      • During the session, we support a structured and respectful conversation that gives space for listening, reflection, and dialogue around the issues raised.
      • The focus is on creating a shared understanding and identifying meaningful, workable outcomes.

At the conclusion of the session, we’ll provide a complimentary summary of agreements reached. If appropriate, we can assist in converting this summary into a formal agreement.
